Mission

The Master of Arts (MA) in Literature teaches students to produce professional-level academic writing and to conduct independent, original research. Students develop a graduate-level ability to apply current critical and theoretical methodologies to literary study and to analyze a variety of literary texts by synthesizing literary characteristics, themes, and approaches.
